Remiora Terms of Use v1.3-android (Android Pro, Google Play)
Date of enactment: August 4, 2026 Date of revision: November 6, 2026 Planned effective date: November 6, 2026
1. Scope
These Terms set forth the conditions for using Remiora, which is provided by the Remiora operator (the “Operator”; Remiora is referred to below as the “Service”). Users shall review the contents of these Terms and the Privacy Policy and use the Service only after agreeing to them.
2. Overview of the Service
The Service is an application for recording, finding, reviewing, and linking information about nail colors and works.
The Service may provide functionality for creating an account and logging in through one-time password authentication using an email address or sign-in with a Google account.
In the initial version, even when an account is created, the Service does not provide functionality for synchronizing photos, colors, products, works, or other creation-related data registered by a user in the cloud.
3. Conditions of Use
Users shall use the Service at their own responsibility. Users shall prepare the device, communications environment, email reception environment, and other environments necessary to use the Service.
When a minor uses the Service, the minor shall obtain the consent of a parent or other legal representative as necessary.
4. Accounts and Authentication Information
When creating and using an account, users shall register an accurate email address that they are able to use.
Users shall appropriately manage one-time passwords, authentication emails, login status, and other authentication information and shall not allow third parties to use them.
With respect to damage arising from a user's device, email account, or authentication information being used by a third party, the Operator shall not be liable to the extent permitted by law, except where the Operator has acted intentionally or negligently.
5. Prohibited Conduct
Users shall not engage in any of the following conduct:
- Conduct that violates laws or public order and morals
- Conduct that interferes with the operation of the Service or another user's use of the Service
- Using the Service for an improper purpose
- Conduct that infringes the rights or interests of another person
- Conduct that violates the Community Guidelines in connection with posts to Community Palette
- Unauthorized use of another person's email address, one-time password, authentication information, or account
- Unauthorized access, circumventing authentication, excessive load, or other conduct that compromises the security of the Service
- Exploiting a malfunction or specification of the Service
- Conduct that the Operator reasonably determines to be inappropriate
6. Suspension of Use and Account Deletion
If a user violates these Terms, or if the Operator reasonably determines that it is necessary for the safe provision of the Service, the Operator may, without prior notice, restrict the user's use of the Service, invalidate an authentication session, or suspend or delete the account.
Except in emergencies, the Operator will notify or explain the matter to the user to the extent possible.
7. Data Storage
Photos, images, colors, products, works, drafts, editing history, and other creation-related data registered by a user are, in principle, stored in the application storage area on the user's device.
Authentication information necessary to create an account and log in is processed or stored on the infrastructure of an external provider that provides authentication services.
In the initial version, the Service does not provide functionality to automatically send data relating to a user's creations on a device to the Operator's servers or synchronize it between multiple devices.
However, product information, color information, images, and other information that a user explicitly posts to Community Palette are sent to and stored on the server for providing the Service and are made available to other users. Posts must follow the Community Guidelines.
Submissions are automatically checked for safety before publication, and a submission that does not pass the check is not published. After publication, the Operator may also review submissions as necessary and, when a submission violates the Community Guidelines or when otherwise necessary, may hide it to stop its publication or take other action. Users can report inappropriate posts and inappropriate users, and can block contributors. A user may also send a deletion request for the user's own post, but a deletion request is received for review and does not guarantee that the post is immediately made private or deleted. See the Community Guidelines for details.
8. Backup and Restoration
Manual backup and restoration are limited to the functionality currently provided by the Service.
Data may be lost due to the specifications of the OS or device; user operation; deletion of the application; erasure of storage areas; device failure; or other circumstances.
The Android app is configured so that data inside the app is not included in Android's standard backup (Auto Backup) or in automatic device-to-device transfer. Therefore, even if you change or reset your device or delete the app, data inside the app is not carried over automatically. If necessary, please perform a manual backup (exporting a backup ZIP) of the Service in advance. We do not guarantee the handling of data by mechanisms the Service cannot control, such as features specific to a device manufacturer.
9. Account Deletion
Users may request deletion of their account through the account settings screen provided by the Service or another designated method.
If the application cannot be used, users may request account deletion by contacting contact@remiora.app from their registered email address. The Operator may verify the user's identity as necessary.
When an account is deleted, information on the server associated with the account, including the authentication email address and user identifier, will be deleted except for information that must be retained for reasons such as legal compliance, security management, prevention of unauthorized use, or other legitimate reasons.
When an account is deleted, the Community Palette posts tied to the account and the post images are also deleted. It may take some time for the deletion of this related data to be completed.
Account deletion generally cannot be revoked, and a deleted account cannot be restored.
Deleting an account does not automatically cancel a Pro Google Play subscription. See Section 10 for details.
When a user uses "Delete account" within the app and the account deletion is completed on the server, colors, works, images, and other creation-related data tied to that account, stored on the device on which that operation was performed, are also deleted. Data stored on that device without signing in (local data) is separate from the account and is not deleted.
If deletion is requested by email, or for any device other than the one on which the deletion was performed, deletion of data on that device is not guaranteed to happen automatically. Users shall delete such device data using the deletion functionality in the Service, deletion of the application, erasure of OS storage areas, or another method appropriate to their use environment.
Deleting an account does not automatically migrate data tied to the account into local data that is not associated with an account. Users who want to keep their data should, before deleting their account, perform a manual backup of the Service (exporting a backup ZIP) and store it in a location such as outside the device. Restoring a backup ZIP is applied to the storage the app is using at the time of restoration (the data of the account you are logged in to, or the data on this device used without signing in). Restoring a backup ZIP replaces the current colors, trash, and editing history at the restoration destination (and the works album, when the backup includes one); it is not merged automatically. A deleted account cannot be recovered, and restoring a backup ZIP does not bring back the account or the Pro purchase entitlement.
If, after server-side account deletion is completed, deletion of data on the device cannot be completed for any reason, the Service does not treat that operation as a fully successful deletion.
10. Remiora Pro (Paid Plan)
Remiora Pro (“Pro”) is a paid, monthly, auto-renewing plan tied to a Remiora account. The features available with Pro are those shown on the purchase screen or within the Service. Free features remain available without purchasing Pro.
Using Pro requires logging in to a Remiora account and a check of the Pro entitlement. The app checks the subscription status through the SDK provided by RevenueCat. This SDK keeps the subscription status on the device (a cache), so when the device cannot connect, the Pro status may be shown based on the most recently retained subscription status. An online connection is required to purchase, to restore purchases, to obtain the latest subscription status, and to use features that communicate with the server to check the Pro entitlement. Depending on network conditions, it may take some time for the latest status, such as cancellation, expiry, or refund, to be reflected.
In the Android app, Pro is purchased as a Google Play subscription (Google Play Billing). RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.) services are used to confirm purchase and subscription information and to confirm the Pro entitlement.
- The price is monthly and is shown on the purchase screen by Google Play together with the currency and the treatment of taxes. The amount actually charged is as shown on the purchase screen.
- The payment methods are those provided by Google Play. The Operator does not obtain or store payment information such as credit card numbers.
- The first charge is made when the purchase is completed, and after that a charge is made through Google Play at each monthly renewal unless you cancel.
You can use Pro from the time the purchase is completed, the purchase is confirmed, and Pro becomes active. Confirmation usually takes a short time and may be delayed by network conditions or other circumstances. Pro features are not available until confirmation is complete, even if the purchase process has completed. If a payment is pending, Pro does not become active until the payment is completed and confirmed.
Unless you cancel, Pro renews automatically every month on the same terms, and a charge is made at each renewal.
You cancel yourself, in the Google Play subscription management screen. After purchase, you can also open this screen from “Manage or cancel subscription” shown on the account screen. Canceling stops automatic renewal from the next period on, so no further charges are made. After canceling, you can keep using Pro until the end of the contract period you have already paid for. When that period ends, you return to the free state. If you cancel right before renewal, the next charge may not be stoppable, so please cancel with time to spare.
If you reinstall the app or change devices, you can use “Restore purchases” on the account screen to re-check your Google Play purchase status for the Remiora account you are logged in to. This function is separate from backing up or restoring the colors, works, and images on your device.
Fees already paid are not refunded on a pro-rated basis, except where a refund is required by law, a refund is granted under Google Play's refund policies, or the Operator agrees to one. This also applies when you cancel or delete your account. Whether a refund is available and the procedure follow the Google Play policies applicable to your purchase and applicable laws. For refund inquiries, contact contact@remiora.app. If a refund is made, your right to use Pro may end at the time of the refund. This Section does not limit any rights of users that are recognized by law.
After the contract period ends, new Pro features can no longer be started, but creation data saved on your device is not deleted for that reason.
Deleting your account (leaving Remiora) and canceling Pro are separate procedures. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your Google Play subscription. Unless you cancel, charges from automatic renewal may continue even after deletion. Please cancel by the method above before deleting your account. After your account is deleted, you can no longer use Pro with that account, even during the subscription period. Refunds are governed by the refund provisions above.
11. Disclaimer
The Operator does not warrant the continuity, completeness, accuracy, security, or fitness for a particular purpose of the Service.
With respect to loss of data, inability to use the Service, inability to authenticate, or other damage arising from the user's device, email reception environment, OS, communications environment, or other circumstances, the Operator shall not be liable to the extent permitted by law, except where the Operator has acted intentionally or negligently.
If the Operator's liability cannot be limited under the Consumer Contract Act or other laws, this Article shall apply to the extent that it does not violate those laws.
12. Changes to or Suspension of the Service
The Operator may change the contents of the Service or interrupt or suspend its provision as necessary.
Except in emergencies, the Operator will provide advance notice to the extent possible.
13. Changes to These Terms
The Operator may change these Terms as necessary.
For important changes, the Operator will provide notice on the Service or by another appropriate method and will request agreement to the changed Terms as necessary.
14. Contact
Inquiries about the Service and requests concerning account deletion should be sent to contact@remiora.app.
